The Rake.

Red drapery parts behind a long-haired woman in a dark green coat, gold waistcoat and white cravat. Loose hair and an open coat soften the formality of her dress. Cool blue-grey sky beyond the curtain gives the warm colours of the figure a sharper presence.

Original oil painting on canvas.

“The Rake” possesses an insatiable desire that is infectious and deliciously unrestrained. Their reputation precedes them and the rumours are true, yet all that you desire is for them to cast their ravenous gaze upon you.
